Quick Contacts and Quick Contacts Lite v1.0.4 Released in the App Catalog!

Go check out the App Catalog for Quick Contacts v1.0.4 and Quick Contacts Lite v1.0.4! These new releases fixed the issue where it would freeze at the loading screen that people were getting when WebOS v1.4 came out. In addition, Quick Contacts v1.0.4 gives you the ability to have up to 5 pages of contacts for a total of 45.

Fix Available on Homebrew and Shortly to the App Catalog! And More Contacts!

Quick Contacts v1.0.3 is now available on homebrew and Quick Contacts v1.0.4 and Quick Contacts Lite v1.0.4 has been submitted to Palm for approval on the App Catalog. These will fix the issues people have been having starting up as well as using the Prompt Preferred option.

On top of that, I’ve raised the number of contacts you can have to be up to 45 so that should be a healthy amount for most of you.

Thanks for your patience!

WebOS Update v1.4 Breaks Quick Contacts – For Now

WebOS v1.4 update is available for most people and it has a lot of great new features people have been waiting for. Unfortunately it does break Quick Contacts for most people as well. I am aware of the fix and working on getting up as soon as possible and post up when it’s ready!

Thanks!
Marvin

Quick Contacts v1.0.2 Now Up!

Had a problem with your photos being stretched or squashed? This latest update of Quick Contacts to v1.0.2 fixes that issue. Also, you can choose which Preferred Numbers/Email Addresses you get prompted for when you select a Quick Contact.

What’s on tap for the next release? We are working on lifting the 18 contact limit so look for that soon!

Version 0.9.22 Available in the App Catalog!

Here’s a long awaited version since v0.9.8 which was in the App Catalog. Mainly it’s going to fix the WebOS v1.3.1 update but here are the things you may have missed that you get now:

- List View
- Custom Backgrounds
- SMS and Email can be selected as Preferred Targets
- Detailed Preferred Icons show if the contact is a home, phone or work
- Reorder contacts
- Prefix/suffix dialing so you can dial calling cards, phone extensions, and even use Google Voice!

If you already bought it, updates are free. Otherwise it’s only $2.99 in the App Catalog.

WebOS v1.3.1 Breaks Quick Contacts? Not with the latest!

If you have recently updated your WebOS to v1.3.1, then Quick Contacts v0.9.19 or earlier will break! Luckily, Palm gave us fair warning and we were able to fix it so it works just fine with v1.3.1. So Quick Contacts v0.9.21 will work just fine for all homebrewers.

So you ask ‘what if I paid for Quick Contacts in the App Catalog’ ?

Don’t worry, they’ve approved the update that will fix that version too. Stay tuned for that and you’ll be able to be up and running again.

Available Now: Quick Contacts v0.9.19

Just put up Quick Contacts v0.9.19 on homebrew! Fixed bug where if your contact had a Pager, their details wouldn’t show up. Added Detailed Preferred Icons to Prompt selector. Also, fixed One Touch Dialing label in Preferences.

Why isn’t the latest and greatest on the App Catalog?

I’m asked many times why the homebrew version has all the newest bells & whistles why the App Catalog is lagging. All I can say is “it’s coming”. Palm’s approval process is currently painfully slow and as much as all of you who’ve downloaded from the App Catalog are waiting for the newest version, I’m waiting for Palm to publish it. So no foolin’ – it really is coming.

If you know how to install homebrew apps or want to know, you can install the latest and greatest version of Quick Contacts (currently v0.9.17) and it’ll work for you. It is a beta version that expires after 14 days of use but you’ll see what’s coming down the pipe.

Quick Contacts v0.9.17 – On Homebrew!

Many of you were asking to put a prefix or a suffix before or after dialing your Quick Contact. Why? You want to dial a calling card first, you want to dial an extension after. Yes, you also were demanding Google Voice. So with this, now you can.

Also added detailed icons so you’ll know what type of contact is set to Preferred – home, work, mobile.

With the upcoming release of the Palm Pixi on November 15, 2009, Quick Contacts works great for that too!
